Re: Imagio Battery Life??

Verizon is now selling an extended battery 2100mah with door. Check under accessories. Wouldn't you know, they are out of stock!

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

I just bought a spare.

One trick that worked for my Storm was switching the phone network from Global to CDMA only. Obviously while in the states it really doesnt need to be searching the global network. I made the switch and will report back if battery life improves.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

Mine has been intermittently poor as well. On a good day, I'll be getting down to around 30% in around 16 hours. On a bad day, I'm down to that by midafternoon (8 hours). I can't rule out a poor cell signal, but I'm spending most of each day in the same general place, so it seems strange. I can also say that the variation is significantly greater than it was with my HTC Touch. I turned it to 'CDMA only' right from the start and am still getting borderline battery life, but I have nothing to compare it to since I've never run it in global. it'll be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

X2
I had to check to make sure I didn't post this myself. Coming from a Touch and using in same office all day battery life on the Imagio is extremely inconsistent and crappy at its best.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

Seidioonline.com usually has extended batteries with the same size as the stock one with more power. Not sure if the TP2 battery is the same, but they do have one for that phone. Nothing saying Imagio yet.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

I know the post is old, but battery life is my main concern when it comes to buying an Imagio.

I currently own a Blackberry 8330 but I am due for an upgrade. I have played with a Storm 1 for about 5 minutes but I was unimpressed with the basic design (Storm 2..pfft). The Imagio seems to be a winner in my book.

I use my phone constantly and it still has over 50% by the day's end. Anything that can't last over 24 hours (imho) is almost worthless.

Anyway, how is your Imagio's battery life? Any updates?

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

I go a whole day (7-8am to midnight or so) and put it on the charger each night with 30-50% still on it. I've been pretty pleased with it overall. I'm sure it will get even better with cooked ROMs and optimization.

I don't think there is a WM phone that can last 24 hrs of constant use without a charge. This is not a phone , it is a computer you can talk on.
Will your laptop last 24 hrs of constant use without a charge , I don't think so. If you are looking for a phone that you are going to use constantly for 2 days without charging don't even consider a WM phone - stay with your crackberry.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??

I am pretty pleased with the battery life. Just like jbh00jh said, its doing a lot more than being a phone. I don't expect this phone to have incredible battery life. For one, its got a very large display.

I use my phone from 7am to 11pm, with very good reception, playing music for about 2 hours, about 150 - 200 text messages, couple emails, tinkering around with some applications and programs, and by the end of the day I was at 40%.
