Got it fixed. Now it remains to be seen if it does the backlight thing every time I use the connection. Small price to pay to have the functionality though.

It uses a peer-peer WiFi connection between your Imagio and laptop.

Nice. I didn't not realize it had that capablity. So it hopefully won't be long for the Android solution.

Re: Internet Sharing on the Imagio

I've been tethering w/ various phones (back in the day of Erricson T29w) but this last week I gave my Imagio a try and I was downloading a file at closer to 300KBps !~ 3Mbps speed. Sweet.

Works for me in firefox and IE

EDIT: and a %20 is what a space is in a url ... there are special characters that are used for certain things in a url string, since characters like spaces are not allowed there.

THANKS for the Firefox clue.

Firefox did handle the URL properly - I have the file now.

Safari did not know what to do with that URL. I did know
that %20 was a space - but I didn't know if I had to manually
modify the URL or NOT.

Re: Internet Sharing on the Imagio

I downloaded the 2 cab files following the suggested sequence with the result that now file explorer does not run - gives an error message. Any suggestions?
