Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
I've still got my Imagio... gonna do one more replacement to unstick the buttons before the warranty expires. That'll be the last replacement I do. Then it's on to Android. Imagio was great back in the day- the fastest phone, had swype, had a wifi router, easy skype, but its been completely leapfrogged by the new androids. I wouldn't have said it when the first droid came out, but now especially, droid does.

Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
I let my friend barrow/have my Imagio and got the X. All the ex-WinMo converts used to really bother me- now I am one of them.
I'll tell you one thing that the Imagio does better then the X (and I think it is a motorola problem- not android) -my Imagio wireless tether was 25x more reliable. I have to usb tether with my X. If the Imagio had specs like the HD2 - the 1ghz processor - i think it would have been awesome. But the phone hardware just can't keep up with Sense and WinMo mobile (IMO). |

Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
New developments like NRG's ROMs and CHT 2.0 keep this forum going mostly so there is still some life in the Imagio. I'm holding out till about December for a new device then I'm on to Android. I need something with a more up to date processor/memory.

Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
+1. Currently with Energy Rom and overclocking, this phone does all I ask of it and all I need so I'll hold onto it until it dies and then go from there (as I did with my Mogul which I had prior to this).

Still using my Imagio but holding out for a Windows Phone 7 device. Those things could be game changers, I can't wait for them to hit the streets.

Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
Finally gave up on the Imagio and got a Droid. After almost a year and five replacments, I just couldnt take it anymore. Besides the phone physically sucking, WinMo 6.5 along with SENSE just makes for a horrible experience. I hung in there hoping that tweaks or ROMs would help, but realized, nothing can help the Imagio. I suggest you sell the damn thing to willing (and unfortunate) ebayers and get you something else.

Re: How to know: End Of Life Imagio
I tried Ebay twice and wanted a reserve of $175, both times the bids stopped at the $115 area. I wasn't feeling $115 for a phone that really is pretty great. I must be one of the last Imagio owners that never had a hardware failure and still thinks it is a great phone!
