Good news though, the replacement shipped on Friday. It's from China though, so I have no idea when I'll actually get it. |

Re: Dropped my imagio...
Got the LCD yesterday, but unfortunately it's for a Touch Pro 2 and not the Imagio... I contacted the seller, hopefully I should be able to work out some sort of exchange or refund... but I guess this means I'll be without my phone for a bit longer.
On a different note... the LCD came separate from the Digitzer. Would I need to attach them, like with glue, or are they separate inside the phone? I was under the assumption that it was one piece, but I may have also gotten a separated set when the auction was for a complete one. |

Re: Dropped my imagio...
my replacement Imagio obviously got dropped & got a new case. The light leakage is absolutely TERRIBLE when the buttons lite up. Entire screen lights up as a white ring.

Re: Dropped my imagio...
Just to update everyone...
I never got a replacement LCD from the seller on ebay, and I shelved the project for a while. I could live with the cracked screen, and I was planning on getting an Incredible in August anyway. But now that I'm not using the phone, I ate the cost and ordered another LCD+Digitizer combo to try and get this project done. I took it apart tonight, and while the main dis-assembly was very straightforward, the LCD and Digitizer are another story altogether. In essence, you will have to replace the LCD, Digitizer, AND most likely the front faceplate. The order of attachment is Digitizer > LCD > Faceplate, and they are glued together, with the LCD stuck in between the Digitizer and Faceplate. This made it extremely difficult to take apart, and still keep the components intact. I ended up breaking my LCD and housing in the process, but I wasn't being particularly careful because I ordered a complete white housing replacement Another issue will be the front buttons, as they're located on a flexible strip attached to the faceplate with glue, and I'm hesitant to remove it as I can't find any replacements online to order, and it seems very easy to break. I will still be making a complete disassembly guide once I get the correct parts, but sadly I don't think there is any way to replace the LCD or Digitizer without replacing all three. This is the housing I ordered: http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-HTC-ful...item483b3a5431 |

Re: Dropped my imagio...
phone comes with a 1 year warranty from HTC
take it to a verizon store that can service a phone & see if they'll give you a new one. if all else fails email HTC drectly. they're highly likely to give you a phone since it's under warranty. |
