Imagio sd card disappeared

Today I started to install a couple of cab files to the memory card on my Imagio only to find that all traces of my SD card had disappeared. Vanished. In File explorer there is no trace of the card. Nothing, nada, zip. I have no explanation.With it went a number of apps that can quite probably be reinstalled ... but to what? The computer does not even see the card.The device itself as well as my desktop does not show it. Can someone, anyone help here? I have worked with PC's for over 30 years, and know not to delete anything without first being sure what it is and having a reason to do so. So where should I start in this instance to rediscover the memory card and put it back in working function? HELP! PLEASE ...

Correction: It is the device that is not being seen in file explorer. The card is what I am looking at! Yet, my previously installed apps are gone nevertheless. It appears that the original software all works ... but what I have put on the device all appear on the screen but I am getting an error message that say components cannot be found ... try reinstalling or restoring??
