Please help - why won't this work for me? The original camera (with extra modes unlocked) takes a ridiculous time to focus and shoot - all the photos of my kid are blurry... I tried the CAB in this thread and it didn't help (in fact, made the framerate very low before I shoot so that the images I see as I move the camera around jump discretely instead of smoothly). Why wouldn't it work for me? Any 3rd-party apps out there to work the camera?

Re: Camera is unbelievebly better Now

The fix will not work with the extra camera modes enabled. Uninstall both, soft reset. Install camera fix, soft reset. In normal lit conditions you should see a tremendous improvement.

ah!! Thanks. Too bad - why can't we have the other modes and the faster focus? Is there a 3rd-party camera app that would give us both, or perhaps the eventual cooked ROMs might enable both - is that possible?

This is a must have boys.

Hit thanks for the find if it works.

Re: Camera is unbelievebly better Now

I installed this and there was a major improvement in speed of focusing and taking pictures but after a soft reset it stopped working. Any ideas?

Re: Camera is unbelievebly better Now

Here's the deal, the lighting makes all the difference with this camera, even with flash because of the lack of intensity of lighting in a dim area the camera attempts to recreate objects which takes the autofocus longer to put every thing together. If you are outside during the day or in a well lit area it should be instantaneous. I have noticed this to be the same deal on my droid, you have to wait and it will take pictures in the dark but they are heavily pixelated and look grainy and colors are messed up. The only device I have not seen have problems with low lighting is the casio exilim, but the phone sucks. For low lighting you need a camera not a phone, maybe different later, and no the leo is not any better camera wise.
