I understand what you're saying, but if you go Fresh or something you can rid yourself of these apps and jump on some that aren't system hogs. I am using palringo which is great for IM. All the stock apps were causing battery issues for me.

I am not saying you are wrong, to each his own, I am just saying that it is a great thing when you start seeing all the other things this phone can do other than what is loaded. The market was one of my reasons to jump ship from Winmo. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the WM Marketplace.

Yeah I feel ya Bro, but the newness is still fresh to me, and if we really are going to get 2.0 I'm willing to wait, and even if its only 1.6 I will still wait, I really dont flash roms until I get bored with the phone like I did with my treo 700wx which is the phone before my Hero I finally flashed it with the 6.5 winmo and it was cool but like you I am tired of winmo.

Quick addition, when flashing android roms, you don't have to do a hard reset. It is all the same but has more options haha, which I really liked!

You haven't gotten the fever yet. When you do it will weaken you. You haven't even yet to open up the opportunities until you get rooted
