Or you could invest $5 in a Mini-USB to Micro-USB converter tip... and just carry that with you. http://www.amazon.com/Mini-charger-M...ef=pd_cp_cps_1 Last edited by Stealth86; 11-01-2009 at 06:40 PM. Reason: Added Link |

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
went to the store to "trade up" my hero for a newer one and played with the moment... first thoughts was that its heavy as hell... got to fooling with the screen, i like that about it... although it felt like touching "glass", it was responsive to the finger.... opened the keyboard, felt smooth... but the overall feel of the phone was obviously cheap... its felt like pure plastic, and if i drop that, im afraid it will just break into pieces... the quality of the phone kinda felt like a instinct with android.... it also is coming with 1.5 cupcake, which we probably already knew but nothing special about it... overall i felt more confident in my hero and im gonna stick with it...

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
I'm seriously considering the switch over to a Moment from my Hero. Yes its bigger and doesn't have senseui but I've had to trade in 2 Hero's so far due to dust collecting under the screen and now the 3rd is doing the same thing. I'll admit, I like to carry my phones in my pockets but it shouldn't be too hard for a modern electronics company to seal off an lcd screen. I mean I love the Hero but this is getting ridiculous. Wish Sprint had another android option at the moment.

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
I work for Best Buy and get to play with phones when ever they come in. The ONLY benefit to the Moment has over the Hero is that you can move throught the apps menu a little faster with the new chip. My first touch screen phone was an instinct which I hated (Samsung) Then had the Mogul and TP with hard keyboards. Since having the Hero with how well it operates and how much more sturdy it feels I would be unsatisfied with the Moment. I think HTC has better products than Samsung from past experience.

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
yup, i actually got to play w/ the phone last week when we got them in, and as soon as i picked it up i wanted to put it back down. in fact, the manager of the mobile dept was walking by when i was checking it and first reaction was "eww...what is that?", lol. it feels cheaply made. it looks ugly. the keyboard was ok. didnt get a chance to turn it on, but i honestly couldnt stand to hold the phone, i knew i wasnt going to take it. sticking w/ the hero.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.5; en-us; A6277 Build/CUPCAKE) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1)
The Moment is reportedly getting 1.6 by 2010 not 2.0 anytime soon. :S |

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
Went to BestBuy on sun 11/1 to take advantage of the BB Reward for the HTC Hero while returning another Hero I previously purchased from the Sprint Store . I inquired about the Moment , which they had in stock , but little knowledge of price or how it operated as it Just came in. After opening and playing with it I decided to purchase the Hero instead. It felt cheap bulky adn had no style to it at all. After reading on teh specs and playing with it I was only impressed with the screen

Re: Keep my Hero or get the Moment?
the screen on the moment is outstanding but the phone is huge!!! I'm also not a fan of moving parts on phone these days.
I'm getting a hero shortly... |
