The Rev 0 is a known problem with Sprint with some of the early released devices. Their will be a MR to fix this soon. It will not impact whether or not you are using Rev A though, your phone still uses it, it just reads Rev 0. No worries, small bug, your phone still works fine.

Re: HTC Hero questions

Ok just came back from my apts office using their WiFi, it works great when connected to WiFi something like 2100 for a 1mb download, but I noticed when I'm connected to WiFi my yahoo email will not log in, but as soon as I turn WiFi off it logs in any ideas? and I've come to realize it may be my area, I have 2-3 bars sitting on my couch right now.

Re: HTC Hero questions

I quickly skimmed through this thread but didn't see this question. Anyone know if there's a way to decrease the vibration duration on the HTC keyboard? I love the keyboard but the amount of time it vibrates on key press is kind of annoying in my opinion. Should only be 20 or 30 miliseconds sort of like the touchpal keyboard. And the touchpal keyboard is more laggy than the stock keyboard.

Re: HTC Hero questions

Actually if you disable "predict next word with touchpal, response is just as good as the htc keyboard. I have always been a fan of the touchpal keyboard.

Re: HTC Hero questions

Is there a way that you can set the notification sound to a song like you can for an incoming call?

Re: HTC Hero questions

Anybody else that can't shut off the notification LED for gmail? I have the check box unselected yet it still blinks when I get an email on my gmail account.

I also noticed that you can't shut off the voicemail notification either. Funny thing is that if you turn off the LED notification for voicemail AND select the checkbox to silence all sounds except for the media player, the phone will vibrate when you get a voicemail. It's like there is no way to COMPLETELY disable the voicemail notification. You'll either get the LED, or the vibrate.

Re: HTC Hero questions

Heres another question, how do you sync with bluetooth? I have tried with my other phone which is a treo 700wx and it would pair but not connect, and then theres no way to delete the 700wx from the list.

Load Ringdroid from the Market, it will let you custom cut any MP3 into your Ringer or Notification tone. Bloaw!
