Re: HTC Hero on its way to Sprint! Confirmed!

Engadget reports that "If you're within an EV-DO Rev. A area, you'll get Rev. A speeds -- despite that fact that your phone says it's only on Rev. 0"

Good to know, thanks! Now all we need is the 1.6 udpate which hopefully will be out soon as well as the mainenance fix for the rev.0 issue.

if Hotmail can be setup as a POP3/IMAP, you can use the mail client under the programs menu. You would probably receive notifications indicating incoming mail.

I'm a Gmail junkie, so I didn't have to do anything but put in my username/password.

If there are any Google Reader fans reading this, check out the mobile version of the site. Its so much better then the one they send Opera users to.

If it's like the gmail client, then yes. But I'm not sure, as I haven't set any other email accounts up on the phone. It will only take a min or two to setup, and you could find out really quickly.

I just tested this with one of my other internet based email accounts. It is a push email, but it's pushed based on the refresh criteria you set. The shortest push interval is 15 mins. It's not immediate, like you would get with a gmail based account, unless you forward your hotmail to a gmail account, and then you are good to go.

Importing – It may take several hours (sometimes up to 2 days) before you start to see imported messages. You can leave this page and the import will continue.

i guess i will see what happens
