Picture Mail won't Download

"Sprint states that it's a known MMS/SMS issue and a patch to be released April 9, 2010" my question is...has any one cooked up a Temp Fix for this issue?

When a Picture mail is sent to the phone it has a 10% chance of getting recieved by the Hero, otherwise the phone just sais "Downloading" sometimes it will say "Downloading" for several hours and fail, and other times it will fail just after 30 seconds of so, and there is the 10% chance that it will do said above and recieve the picture...any help would be appreciated.

mine does this but only when im on WiFi. not when im on the sprint network

It's a Wifi problem... the phone needs to use the Sprint Network to download the picture and with wifi on it defaults to wifi download which is blocked.

The April 9th fix is the 2.1 Update =)

I'd love to know how you know that april 9th is the 2.1 update. I wouldn't hold my breath, LOL.

I guess there is no solid "proof" that this is a 2.1 upgrade... but I can't imagine sprint and HTC would waste there time with fixing a single minor issue so close to a more major project.

The last "maintenance fix" I got was for my TP2 and it was the 6.5 upgrade...

The only fix i have found was doing a hard reset. I believe something gets corrupt on the phone, and nothing short of starting over fixes it.

I flashed to the latest Fresh rom and my problems went away.

I Never said 2.1 release, I said a patch, something like a Microsoft Hot Fix...and as for WiFi being the issue, I dont have WiFi active on the phone it is disabled so thats not the issue, the Sprint rep stated " on April 9th sprint will be releasing an update to the ""Software Version not the ROM"" it is an Over The Air (OTA) update...if you don't see the Software Version change after the 9th of April then call us (Sprint) back and we will push it to you, in order fo this update to happen you must turn your phone offand pull the battery out for 10 min, power it back on and the dvice should began the Software Update"

I am having the same issue with pictures and email attachments. My phone is stock, and I don't use Wifi either. So what the heck.
