Re: DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

I agree with most of what everyone is saying about it. I went with the Moment for three reasons. The screen, which I am still glad that I did. The processor, which I am still glad that I did. And the keyboard, which I never use (excpet once in awhile in a terminal emulator).

The Hero is a nice phone and so is the Moment. I'm just glad that we can all get what we are looking for out of our phones.

Might the Moment seem flimsy because it's not as heavy as the TP/TP2? Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't HTC TP have problems with the chrome chipping off too?

We all have our own preferences and just because I might like HTC or the Moment and others like something different doesn't mean that anyone is right or wrong. I've learned long ago that not everyone appreciates the same things as others...

HTC makes great products and will continue to make great products, they've been in the smartphone game for a long time, Samsung is just really starting in the smartphone business.

I got my Hero at Best Buy, and a week later BB called with a survey about my experience. One of the questions they asked was if they showed me how to calibrate, which they didn't. I love the Hero's keyboard, it's even better with 2.1 because you can finally remove individual words.

Re: DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

It is, for sure, the best soft keyboard for Android. Hands down.

Re: DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

The AOSP KB kills the HTC KB. Way more accurate and much much faster.
and I would hope by now ppl are aware of the calibration feature

Re: DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

i didnt intend for this to be another moment v hero debate. shouldv never mentioned the moment. lol. just wanted this information to be in an easily accessible place as opposed to a 23 pg thread...i refer a lot of first time users to the site for information gathering and a way to contact me when im not at work without giving out my number . Thanks for the input guys but lets try and keep it simple for my first timers.

Re: DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

When I had my Hero, it wasn't the on screen keyboard that caused me problems, it was the overall sluggishness of the phone. It just kept freezing and freezing up on me, especially when I was trying to send and receive texts. I thought and still do think that the Hero had the best on screen keyboard that I ever used on a phone.
