DONT HATE: Hero Keyboard

I am finding that people are trying to exchange their Hero for the Moment because they are hating on the on screen keyboard. Truth is...nobody showed them how to caibrate the kb.

press menu-settings-locale & text- touch input- text input-calibration...it will ask you to type a sentence about a fox or something and there you go.

another way:

pull up the kb and click the gear/setting icon- text input-calibration

samsung...cant stand them.. the moment is a nice android phone.. but Im so used to htc now..Ive used alot of stuff in between and when i stray away i always come back.lol

Plus I dont go for phones unless their is a healthy list of after market stuff.. like ext batts. and such.. so far i havent seen anything for the moment..

I always liked the Hero keyboard, until I got swype. Now I can type on the Hero almost as fast as I can type on a PC.

I looked at the Moment, momentarily (pun intended). I came from an HTC Touch Pro to the Hero, as I wanted to jump ship from WinMo.

I'll be honest, I didn't use the keyboard on the Touch Pro as much as I would the on-screen keyboard. It was more convenient. Sure, it came in handy sometimes.

When I picked up the Moment, it seemed flimsy to me. Also I've had bad ordeals with Samsung in the past with chrome plating chipping off, and looking terrible.

So, I went with the Hero. (If the Supersonic DOES become available next week I'm gonna beat myself for not waiting).

Oh, and yeah - I got Swype as well. LOVE IT! So fast to "type" stuff out on it, and you don't have to be accurate for it to recognize what you want.
