Re: New verison 2.8 of Sprint Navagation out today
umm, not to rain on everyone's parade (especially since i want it too) but if telenav and or sprint are intending to charge extra for this software wouldn't yanking and distributing the .apk be warez?

Especially if the premium version was what I used to have. I just fired up my old DiAMOND and launched SN and sure enough 2.1 allowed me to speak my address.

I have the same file (Same exact file name and byte size) as the posted... and mine says it is Premium ....
Yet, when I try and navigate it asks for the address, i choose "Speak It" and it makes a call to 1-408-523-8764 Last edited by Stealth86; 02-25-2010 at 06:09 AM. |

Re: New verison 2.8 of Sprint Navagation out today
Everyone, it would seem that there is only one .apk for this, and that the standard versus premium would be dictated by your account, which is tied in to Sprint and/or Telenav. Most likely, when April comes, and you choose to upgrade to Premium, that will cause some change in your Sprint Nav account, and the Premium features will then be available after logging in. Kind of like getting a phone with GPS, but not having the Sprint Nav on the plan... once you subscribe, it's all good, but before that, you don't get to use it all... am I right?

Re: New verison 2.8 of Sprint Navagation out today
Here's Telenav 5.5 if anyone's interested. When I installed it by itself I couldn't get it to register, but after reinstalling Spring Nav 2.8, registering it, then reinstalling Telenav, it registered. I uninstalled Sprint Nav afterward.
If I'm not mistaken, it has all the premium features. Last edited by funcrusher; 02-25-2010 at 01:19 PM. Reason: File on next page. |
