I'll put money on it that 2.1 won't be out in "early" Q2 (early being in the month of April) via OTA or official Sprint/HTC download.

Found this thread on xda. I'm sure most have seen it, but take it for what it's worth. Words on the internet. Hope so, though. The update could be about 2 weeks away!!! Moment to get the update 4 days later.

it would be nice i was one of flipz donators so i got the version from him but iam not flashing it until i can get visual voicemail

Really? The rom is amazing I have fallen in love with my Hero again, Visual vm is nice but you should really try this rom w/ or w/out just imho

Or... just go and request someone to send you a Google Voice invite. It gives you visual voicemail and 2.1 integrates it into your phone.

How do you get a Google Voice invite? I have sent in my request several times, with no response.

Can't wait. although, i probably wont install the update. I'll just wait for the Fresh Rom based off of the official Sprint Hero Rom.

The ROM is amazing (2.0b2), and I used Google Voice to handle visual voicemail for me anyways.

That being said, it looks like there's no reason to wait for a google voice invite. Apparently if you send a request, then download the app and try to set up your account through android, you get a number right away.
