Hero 2.1 Release Date Speculation Thread!

Wouldn't you rather (I know I would) suffer a few more days or weeks, or however long, to get a working version released?! I mean....how many threads would be popping up flaming Sprint for releasing a buggy version of 2.1? Sprint hates pushing it back as much as we hate them doing it; they have nothing to do with the actual update, that's up to HTC and their developers. I guarantee that they are putting some pressure on. However, they would much rather hold out than to put out a product that isn't ready! That being said, if Eris has it, I can't figure out the reason Hero can't!

Yeah, but HTC sent out tweets in like November saying the update was complete and in Sprints hands so its not HTC. Sprint has had this for months, so I hope the hesitation is because they are adding some of the most up to date Sense feats that hadn't been announced back when they first said they gave it to Sprint. I think Friendstream and the new cut and paste feature weren't shown until after HTC allegedly gave sprint the update, so maybe they went back to incorporate new feats like that. I really would like that cut and paste from the Desire (or was it the Legend or both, I cant remember).

Or Sprint could just be making sure all of the NASCAR apps work on the new handset. Which would be AWESOME.

Imma laugh my ass off so hard! Seriously! Big time! When all the ppl I've read gripping about this update not getting to them in their time frame, the ones who say I've given up waiting and are yet still in here crying, the ones who said f it! I'm not getting the evo anymore; those are the ones that I'm gonna raz on for the rest of their life when I see them in the evo forums in the next month. I'll probably die laughing when not only do they buy into the evo rage but also enter the forum and bitch about it. LOL!

HTC has stated that the Evo has integrated Flash:

i will however let cede that while they say "embedded video" they also advertised the Hero as having embedded Flash although really all it gave us were Flash ads, no games, videos, etc, but how knows, maybe Evo has the real stuff on board

some moment users just got the official sprint 2.1 update today. i assume the hero users will get it tomorrow.
