Snell is overrated, IMO. Motorcyclist did a great comparison where the DOT-only helmets did at least as well as, and sometimes better than, the Snell helmets in simulated crashes.

[QUOTE=bradart;1531901]Personally, i'd rather cycle in silence and not die, but i don't have a motorcycle[QUOTE] there's not much that's silent about riding a motorcycle. Drive a truck or ricer with LOUD exhaust and the windows down at 70mph on the interstate and that's about what it sounds like. You can space out from the drone after a while and music keeps a lot of people focused. (words distract me personally gotta listen to techno or classical music)

In the beginning it didn't do A2DP. He was asking if we had it on the Hero, he wasn't bashing the iphone.

I was bashing the iphone, also I was joking, which is why I had the hahaha. That is laughing which you don't seem to want to do.

You are off topic until your last sentence. Stay on topic or don't post.

Re: Bluetooth motorcycle helmet

Correcting me or iphone joking is just as off topic big guy I totally I get your post, but it really doesn't suck. Just needs a little modification like we do to all our phones. Anyway, I was clarifying about a2dp, i know it's a new thing, that's why I said it's probably simply because he's been out of the loop. He sounds like he might have an older 3g or touch that's not updated and may not realize it could use. (you can thank me later)

I've never actually heard of o'neal making street helmets. iirc they made like snowboarding, or skiing gear or something. The BEST place to search for an answer to this or post and get some really good feedback would be http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/

You can always retrofit a better helmet with this stuff especially if it's got ear cutouts. (or diy) But you wanna check o'neals street gear rep out first.

Re: Bluetooth motorcycle helmet

4-Stroke v-twin sportbike here with pipes that have a similar 'bassy' growl like that. I tended to be able to barely hear my mogul through headphones in my gmax helmet even with the volume hack. However earbuds work much better though you still loose a lot of volume unless they are really nice ones with soft conforming rubber. Earbuds however, are a pain in the @ss to get on / off, w/helmet. So i'm assuming in helmet speakers would be the same unless there a mini amp.

yeah I was putting on/off my Diamond earbuds thru the helmet but that stuff hurts and is such a pain, so I wanted speakers in my helmet, but just not too sure if I'll be able to hear it over the growl of the pipes (especially since I don't have a windshield)
