Bluetooth motorcycle helmet

So I'm looking into getting this helmet http://www.extremesupply.com/onealhe...astTrackFF.htm

And from what I've found on the forum is that our phone supports A2DP is this correct...I would love to stream Slacker in stereo as I ride...headphones hurt after awhile. Thanks

Never had a helmet, except for dirt, let alone one with bluetooth (I know, no helmet is stupid), but it does say that you can play your MP3s and that is A2DP. Unless for some crazy reason they would think someone wants to listen on mono.

I would say that you could try it and send back if it doesn't do what it says for a refund.

I'm in Michigan a lot and they require a helmet no matter what...but I was just asking if the Hero will work with it in stereo bc the iPhone doesn't do A2DP.

As a fellow rider, I would caution you that the ad makes no mention of Snell approval or rating. It seems too cheap, too. The bluetooth is worth $100, so the helmet is just over $100. I paid $600 for my last helmet (2001) and that was the "middle of the road."

no it is not Snell approved only DOT...I currently wear a HJC helmet that cost 150 and is both snell and DOT approved...a lot of the time your pying for the graphic type and paint type of the helmet....I would never pay more than 300 on a helmet

mine was costly because of paint, your correct but i wanted to make sure it was safe, not saying everybody needs to spend what i did on custom paint. (troy lee design)

Personally, i'd rather cycle in silence and not die, but i don't have a motorcycle, so i know nothing about the helmets. My 2 cents is simply that we don't want you to die solely for the sake of sweet tunes.

For the record, Blueant makes an excellent universal helmet module, you could probably snag it for around $150 or less and use it with a seemingly better helmet. I know about motorcycles like I know about 13th century south american literature, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
