I totally I get your post, but it really doesn't suck. Just needs a little modification like we do to all our phones.
Anyway, I was clarifying about a2dp, i know it's a new thing, that's why I said it's probably simply because he's been out of the loop. He sounds like he might have an older 3g or touch that's not updated and may not realize it could use. (you can thank me later)
