Yea it is hard to go out and get the Hero now when people are saying HTC might drop some phones in January with Snapdragon

This is what I said....but here is the thing. No one really knows for sure what is going to happen. All we know is an advertising push for ONE phone (google phone) is happening in January....release date is still unknown. Anything you hear other than this is pure speculation and rumor.

ETA - also, their is rumor that google is going to acquire sprint by march-ish. they would do this in order to do a data only plan on the google phone, and you would use VOIP instead of "minutes". this would reduce the monthly cost of your plan drastically, and open a myriad of doors to the cell phone industry.

I feel like a total dolt haha. Thanks for pointing that out. ya, seeing mobile network I think it was only the data connection it was referring too, and if disabled would keep it in 1x mode. Thanks for the heads up though!! I had a similar thing already though, with this battery widget that when clicked on, it listed all those on it and you tapped which one you wanted enabled or vice versa.

Went to Sprint looked at both phones and the Pre had nothing on the Hero, so now I am a proud Hero owner
