Leaving the registry settings there should not hurt anything if all you wish to do is remove the files to attempt a reinstall. The fact that Palm Messaging isn't listed in your Remove Programs list means there was a bad install at some point. If you had installed over a previous install the cab would have warned you that there was a previous version that it will need to uninstall first. Not sure how you got it into that state.

If you haven't already hard reset I would suggest that you remove the files that were installed and attempt a reinstalled.

It cant delete the messagingplugin.dll files

yes, resco is working but I cant delete midlib2.dll....it is in rom. how do i highlight multiple files in resco?

ok, the delete was successful....was able to reinstall Palm messenger.

now Palm Messaging is listed in apps to remove.

removed.
reset.


now the sms softkey is still there
so is 6 unread messages

to highlight multiple files just drag the stylus over them.

Even if you do manage to delete most of the files its gonna leave your PPC in a major mess! The time it takes to setup your PPC is from a Hard Reset is minimal to all the work you'll have to do to get it to work from where you are. I suggest a Hard Reset then when your happy with your entire setup a Backup and you'll never have to worry again.

and u deleted the messaging.exe? if so did u soft reset? if yes then if its still on the today that maybe due to reg entires....
