Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
I'm not sure what HD2 you were looking at but I was able to check out Transformers 2 on my TP2 and it doesn't compete with the HD2. This phone is for those who want more power and a larger screen to help eliminate the need to have a laptop and digital camera with them all the time. I can take great pics in low lights with this phone, TP or TP2 not possible. The flash is sooo bright you could blind a mugger with it on high. I have not found any lag in the 3days I've been using it not one hard or soft reset yet and I'm a power users. Web, music, documents being used all at once. Not to mention I paid $99.99 for this vs the $299.99 on my touch pro. The only con I have is T-Mobile has ok plans compared to my sprint plan. This phone is not for people that want a really portable device but it's not much bigger then an iPhone and it's thin as hell even with the gel case that it came with. My girl who was an iphone users has this phone as well and she loves it and she was against all my other windows phones. But hey to each his/her own!

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
Got an HD2 two days ago! its a beast of a phone. My favorite perks are the screen size and the speedy processor. Biggest downfall, and probably the reason I'd take it back, is T-Mobile's crappy data speeds, which according to mobilespeedtest.com is usually around 200-400kbps vs sprint's consistent 800-1000kbps. Its like driving a Ferrari on a bumpy ass dirt road. Just not worth it, IMO!
Im in CT, and Tmobile's 3G service was was only implemented a few months ago in the summer of 09. I really am torn right now between keeping the HD2, or returning it and waiting for the Evo 4G. However, Im not really feeling the idea of Google in every aspect of my life...plus, Android is not quite right for me...yet. Ohhhhh! Decisions, Decisions! |

Sprint is averaging around 500kpbs for me. This is my test on PIE: http://mobilespeedtest.com/results/1121087233.jpg I can get speeds very close to this every single time I test. T-Mo tends to do great in big cities, not so much outside. |

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
i'm getting 3g where i am. this phone makes the tp2 feel like the tp when it 1st came out, but the speeds are incredible. i love looking at the taskmanager and have 5 things going and still have a ton of memory left! and the phone never lags!

I just did the test again using PIE and got 1600kbps!!! My previous tests were done with Opera Mobile and I got really crappy results. I wonder why that is? Damn, now im even more confused! If those are my 'real' speeds, how come youtube vids take so long to load? oh lawd.....Should it stay or should it go? |
