Re: Why do you want to upgrade to nexus s or evo 3d?

I'm keeping my evo for a little while longer (got it on day 1). The main reason is $$. I don't want to renew my contract, and I don't want to pay full retail. I'll probably pick up a used Evo3D next year, after the phone has been out for a while, and can be had for 1/2 retail value on eBay. My goal is to remain outside of a contract, and just pick up phones through the free market. If I ever change carriers, I'll do this. Get a year old phone, and just start service.

The wife's hero is beginning to act up on her, so I found a great deal on an Evo on eBay. I paid less than the upgrade cost for the Evo Shift 4G. I just need to take the phone in to the sprint store, to fix the broken charging port. I spoke with the sprint store yesterday, and since I have TEP, they will be able to fix it for me, most likely free of charge.

You paid good money for a broken phone, expecting sprint to fix it for free?

TEP covers this type of stuff. I called a corporate sprint store and spoke with a sprint rep. Both said the same thing. And I paid a lot fair amount less than the upgrade price for the Evo, and didn't have to renew a contract. Win-win.

TEP goes with the line....not the phone. But you don't have to believe me...call Sprint, and they will tell you the same thing.

You are correct if a person has tep on his or her line tep transfers to whatever device is put on that line.

If the line didn't have tep and he or she does an esn change to a previous own device new or not you can't add tep.

Tep should only be added at the time of a upgrade or new line of service.
