Re: question about MMS messaging
The OP has a valid concern. I HAD a (psycho) g/f that (before I knew she was psycho) I would include her in my MMS forwards. She actually would keep a list of all the numbers I sent these MMS messages to and even resorted to calling these numbers to see what my relationship was w/ each person.
Here's the deal; if you send an MMS to multiple people w/out having a BCC option, some carriers display all the recipients in the header. If they don't immediately display all the recipients all you have to do is open the MMS, select Menu, More and Reply all... the reply window will display all the recipients that MMS was originally sent to. Personally I don't like the idea that anyone can harvest this information. I would LOVE a BCC option for MMS w/ out having to use an email client. |

Ok I see what you guys mean now... I thought OP wanted it to be seen.... Sprin has always included this info.. might be device byy device(or by OS) what shows... juust know that you can goto pictures.sprintpcs.com and see all the recipients that way as well.... so make sure they don't know that I suppose...
All in all, if your weren't sending things you shouldn't or to people you shouldn't, then you'd have nothing to worry about if everyone sees or not |

Let's consider this scenario; What if I were to forward a MMS to you and a bunch of other people, but one of my contacts is a widget salesperson. Well the economy is slow and widget sales are down, so s/he decides to start cold-calling people to see if they're interested in buying widgets. Well, here's a list of confirmed phone numbers of people who might be in the market for a new widget. Or worse, what if this information finds it's way into the hands of a marketing company who sells your phone number to a 100+ other marketing firms or widget sales firms. It all comes down to privacy. |
