Got turned away from Sprint today for being Rooted

Uhhh... that's insurance fraud not that I think people don't do it just I would not advise it when unrooting is so simple I taught myself back in the day.

I must live in the right town because several of the guys working at the Sprint store that I frequent all have custom roms on their phones. In fact they were the first ones to bring up to me flashing your phone. I've had several long conversations about different roms and custom software in between them waiting on "regular" customers. I guess I should never plan on moving !!!

Dude, I was getting the 170 error as well. Uninstall HTC Sync from your computer and reboot. That should do it. That error pissed me off for a long time!
