Most are far better than stock... the thing I love is that it's super easy to 'flash' in android using an app like Rom Manager. It keeps updated links to all compatible ROM right in the app. If you see one you like, download it to your phone, nand backup your current setup, and flash away... It's just a brilliant and clean solution.

most custom roms are sense roms. flash one if you dont like it flash another so on so on..
and if during flashing you get in to a boot loop you can go to recovery and do a restore

I second InvincibleLiving's comment about Rom Manager!!! Flash hasn't been easier!!! I remember when we had to use the computer during my WinMo days!!! Now we don't!!! Flashing straight from an app!!! A.N.D.R.O.I.D.!!!

You said you did a nand backup? If I were you I wouldn't use Clockwork to do a backup cuz this do not also backup your Wimax Keys! Once you loose it then your SOL..I would recomend using Amon RA recovery to do backups cuz it also backup your wimax keys.

from what i know clockwork has had this issue fixed i dont use clock so cant say for sure

yup Karl got it right. I was just in clockwork recovery today and saw it backup my wimax... no longer an issue.
