I bit the bullet, followed all the great instruction I got from everyone here and unrEVOked3, so now I just finished, have S-OFF and want to start the fun....more battery life and tethering would be some of the first things i want....any help out there??/

THanks in advance from a new new newbie

Flash a stock Rom like Azreal 3.0. Has Wifi Tether in it. You can also look at some of the SBC's.

But the fisr thing you should do is go into Recovery and make a Nandroid backup. Repeat this everything you get to a stable and desirable point.
