Re: Can't flash roms

Well Amon just put out a new recovery v2.1.1 and I'm now able to flash!

Nice find. Do I just rename this PC36IMG.img and let the bootloader grab it? I have never flashed directly from an "img" file before.

Re: Can't flash roms (Updated with fix!)

I just used flash_image recovery and terminal on my evo, which is explained in the first post.

It would just be flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-supersonic-v2.1.1.img instead of flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-evo-v1.8.0.img

I just renamed is and let the bootloader handle it. Worked.

Re: Can't flash roms (Updated with fix!)

lkillen, are you able to flash AOSP roms? I can flash anything sense as well as MUIU, but anything AOSP leads me to an infinite boot loop consisting only of the HTC Evo 4G screen.

I am on Azrael so I can't use AOSP. Those are for non-Sensed Roms.

I don't venture too far off the plantation these days. I stay with pretty stock Roms like Sprint Lovers or Azreals unless I know I have a lot of time to kill.

Whatever you do, keep a solid Nandroid backup handy along with the latest RUU. Just when you think you got a PhD in Android, this things will turn upside down.

shift_ and some others over at XDA were trying to help me get aosp roms flash, but concluded that I had bad nand. I exchanged the phone and I now have aosp roms working. Thanks again for the reply.
