Unrevoked just did a test on the newer evos. They said they got it to work but are still doing some other tweaks. It shouldn't be long before all newer evos work with unrevoked.

The battery life is MUCH better than other roms from my personal experience and you will love the new transission animations and the new gingerbread keyboard... not to mention it's super fast and smooth.

I'm glad you like your new EVO, I was sure you would. I know you must be loving the awesome web browsing experience compared to the TP2's Opera Mobile, which isn't bad itself, just lacking speed, responsiveness and full Adobe Flash.

So where's you happy dance bro???!!!
Nice! I will definitly give Azrael a try. This is by far the best phone I've ever had and blow the TP2 away (in my opinion lol). I've been doing some research on set CPU for root users, but it seems all I can get it is right up to 1GHz. The speed of the Evo is amazing so that isn't an issue, I'm just tinkering around with tweaks for the fun of it.

Thanks for the info! -- I've been doing my Evo dance since last saturday LOL

I also read when the Evo was originally released the battery life wasn't that great... I'm assuming HTC and/or Sprint have addressed those issues ... or the Cooks out there have figured it out. I would like USB and Wifi tethering and I believe from what I read those are easy options in the custom ROMs.

Anyways, if you have a moment and would like to share any other info you Evo users have, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
I had a TP, Palm Pre and Touchpro2....GET THE EVO n dont ever look back

On Azrael. This is the cleanest rom I have come across. Even cleaner than Sprint Lover's. And the flash was so smooth.

Re: Thinking about getting an Evo, need advice.

Awesome, just got Azrael ROM installed. Although on the Sprint Lovers ROM it had the 1% battery indicator which I liked. Any easy way to get that going on Azrael?

Edit- found it over at XDA

Re: Thinking about getting an Evo, need advice.

I understand the process of doing the flash to get the battery percentage, but I'm not sure which one is going to work with the Azrael ROM I am on. I know it should be stock kernel since I haven't changed anything, can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Re: Thinking about getting an Evo, need advice.

Looking to downgrade HW 004 EVO from 2.15 to 2.05, any advise? I get boot loop even clearing cache and even wipe... It took 2.15.00.07.28 I think it's the baseband? Not the 2.15.00.09.01...but I need one step lower, reception is no good with this new 2.15 in my area! And 4G keeps fluctuating, I hate it... 2.05 worked great!
