No! I did not think this was new, tethering been existed! I had issue connecting straight to my ps3, and someone mentioned earlier that ever since an update on the wifi tethering app it mimics a router. I had my evo from day one and the wifi app couldn't connect to my ps3!

For all those that can't believe...or want to point the finger saying it won't work, or it's not stable. BS!! I'm telling you it works fine. Both 4g and 3g. While 4g is more "optimum", 3g will work, you will just be really limited to the "rooms" you can got into. I've done myself. And, I plan on doing some more next week while I'm on a trip to Salt Lake City.

It's easy to point facts and figures, however to every rule there is an exception. While the Evo may not be ideal for using the PS3 network, it does work and it works well.

Even though it's kind of a neat little trick, I couldn't possibly fathom downloading and playing games over 3G/4G connections. Yea, 4G is pretty fast, but not fast enough for PS3 games played online.

4g is enough to play games online. Ive used 3g to play halo and that game requires a reliable connection so 4g should work just fine.

Lol this bring back the days when I used to take my 360 to work some days and tether from my Diamond to get on Live. I used my Evo recently to wireless tether to my sister's Wii when I softmodded it for her. Plain & simple, it works.
