Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

also ESRP is pretty worthless these days. I don't know what they actually fix anymore. Every time I try and get a repair now they tell me to just file with Asurion. It's complete BS.

I would just drop TEP, and ESRP; signup for ERP (asurion replacement).

or even better use a different insurance company. if you own a home or rent and have renters insurance cell devices are usually covered if you follow the proper protocol.

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

To the OP; sucks your phone is having so many issues. There was an article on www.goodandevo.net, about another user whos camera lens would break all the time. He went to walmart, and got some of the used watch battery clear plastic covers. They fit right over the camera, and work perfectly with the stock cover. There are more details on the site.

My Treo 700wx was indestructible. My 3 moguls were all POS's (I bought the first one used, and the other 2 were refurbs). My hero was great, with the exception of dust under the screen. And my Evo has no issues. I do have slight screen lift in the lower left corner, but I have a case around it, and it hasn't gotten worse, or caused any issues whatsoever.

Edit: Here is a link to some plastic camera lens replacements. They are $22/lens

And I can't find the article I alluded to earlier. It may have been on Android Central. Not sure.

I will also say that for me the TP2 was and is still an excellent device.

i went in there to get it fixed and they told me the blown speaker would be free but since the camera is my fault they would have to charge me 119$....i kept my cool and told them i had nothing to do with this but the guy was honestly cool enought to hook it up no charge... but he still said alot of stuff that breaks on the evo is usually not covered by esrp

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

Not to pick on you, but cracking probably means excessive force asserted. I mean what would you say if you sold something brand new, and the buyer comes back with a crack and says it wasn't his fault?

I still have minty conditioned TP2, and it all depends on how users take care of things.

Try to put the phone on your empty pocket all the time, and make a habit of it. My right front pocket is always free of change, and keys.

Don't think I want my premiums going up for a phone!
