HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

i love htc phones and thats all ive owned for the past 5 years but im honestly tired of having quality control issues with my phone....for no reason even tho i baby my EVO the plastic that covers the camera lens cracked....then the speaker blew and all i get is distorted sounds and now i am having screen lift....seriously this along with the different internals from evo to evo wat is going on with them....

i went threw 4 Touch Pros, 4 Touch Pro 2's and 2 Vogues....i feel the only phone that ever lasted from them was my apache...and that was still when they were audiovox

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

I see where your coming from. I guess that's a good reason to have TEP.

IDK, they crank out so many devices I guess it's hard to have every one be Perfect. There's a lot of Damn electronics in these things. I've had an 2 Apaches lockup(probably software,) a Vogue charger port go bad(probably from a drop,) but my Diamond and Touch Pro 2 were Solid. I'm sure HTC phones aren't the only ones that have failures.

Take it back to Sprint and get a FREE replacement!

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

I think everyone knows that HTC's quality control hasn't been the best. It's getting better but they have a ways to go. Keep insurance on your phone, replace, and move on.

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

I think I have had decent experience when it comes to htc phones. I have to 6700's that still work perfectly to this day, I also had two moguls and build quality wise they were solid but I used them so much that some of the keys started to get stuck as I typed. I had a diamond that went through hell and back and it stuck with me no matter what, so no issues at all with the diamond. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the tp1 and as much as I loved that phone it was a pos(still has the best keyboard layout IMO), I had to swap it out 5 different times for one reason or another. This brings me to the tp2 which is quite possibly the best phone I have ever owned up until I got the evo. Build quality was just perfect, no issues at all and so far with my evo its just fine.

Call me lucky, but I've had a mogul, Vogue, tp1, diamond, tp2, and now the evo and I haven't had problems with any of them. I would have to say that if you have a crack over your camera lens its likely due to some force and not the plastic randomly cracking on its own.

Damn that sucks for you bro, my phone is minty fresh without a scratch on it lol... Have had it since launch day with no screen protector only a rubber silicone case and it stays in my pocket all the time lol... Some have better luck than others I guess...

Re: HTC really needs to Better there Quality Control

I guess i've been lucky (knock on wood). I have had the vogue, Diamond, Hero, and now the EVO. The only problem I've had was a refurbished vogue had its touch screen randomly start and stop working, but i had insurance so i just got a replacement and everything was fine.
