thanks kalre for your help.i got it to work.now I dont have usb, computer doesn't recognize my phone being there. so I did the pc36img.zip of rom 3.26.zip. then did manual update of 3.29.zip. everything works but change get compete to see phone. also an fyi.when you get the red triangle and exclamation point screen, press volume up and power button to go to next screen. thanks all.

What are you talking about? Everything I've read on here and xda suggests that OTA updates don't work on a rooted phone, please give me threads that suggest otherwise.

ETA: Here are two articles and comments talking about how if you have root that the OTA update won't install.

my phone is rooted and I did the stock ruu and the stock ota. i just reinstalled clockwork and superuser.

i guess it comes down to knowing how to do it. as I have learned some people shouldn't root

Ah, but you did the stock RUU first and that gave you a clean slate.

If you don't want to lose all your data and settings, then you need to do a manual update and not OTA.
