What version of htc sync should I download .. I went to htc site n download the htc sync for evo .. Is that one correct or someone drop me a link

the important drivers to do the unrevoked root method are the hboot usb drivers
found here ---> public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki]

htc drivers are needed if you are flashing an official RUU, not unrevoked

Soo I dont need to sync my phone to the pc? Just download the "unrEVOked modified USB" n follow instruction? I did it n it keep tellin me to install android 1.0 .. Where I can get android 1.0..... Sorry im a moob

.......mI want to root just to have a screenshot appli. I dont need a theme I luv ADW launcher ..

sigh, never tryin unrevoked again, process went thru, and im root, but now i cant boot into recovery. just gives me 3 vibrations and doesnt do anything. i have 2 pull battery and boot normally. any1 know if i can flash another recovery, and how?

i can reboot into recovery via adb or "quickboot" but not manually. (holding vol up when powering up) wierd.

I jsut went through the process and it completed and said done with no problem. Took a total of 5mins.

But just to be clear how do I check to see if my device is Rooted?

I have a Superusers Permission Icon in my menu now? Is that how you can tell?

android 1.0 is what the hboot usb driver will update... and that in turn will become android bootlauncher
