Is the EVO getting Gingerbread?

Here is what i got from my sprint rep this morning,

Since the 2.1 to froyo update didnt really change that much, it is a very good possiblity that sprint may give the update to gingerbread to the evo customers. Also, because most people used their upgrade to get the evo, they probably want to try to keep the evo as up to date as possible as a lot of people are using this phone at the moment and there are still waiting lists for them.


Just what i got off the grapevine......a little hope maybe?? Hopefully the rest of sprint feels this way and goes through with it.

I hope we get this update. I can tell you, though, don't get your hopes up. I hope your rep is more knowledgeable than the one at my store. My Sprint rep doesn't even know when a 3g tower is going up in my town, as he tells me next month every month.

Giving us the Gingerbread update would make sense, and, unfortunately for us all, that usually isn't a policy they practice.

I don't even think people know if Gingerbread is real or just a concept right know nonetheless if we will even get it on the EVO.

I don't care who knows who because they still know nothing more then me and you!

What do you mean by it didn't change much? It got everything that was included in froyo? What was missing that you were expecting that you didn't get?

That's if Sprint has got their butts in gear with updates. Sprint usually has poor execution with there updates.
