No they haven't..sprint like to keep 1 device per form factor...so since EVO is touch screen only, you won't be getting another top end android touch screen phone..since Epic is keyboard, you won't be getting another android top end keyboard phone....its just how sprint rolls :/

Diamond = no keyboard, TP = keyboard...

They are going to allow 3rd party ui's..they are just saying that 3rd party ui's will become useless...

so here are my 2 guesses..

1) They will replicate all the features of Sense UI and other UI's

or

2) They make a UI framework which allows easier customization and creation of UI's without fragmenting the OS.

Has anyone else noticed how HTC and Samsung seem to have production limits with Sprint?
All the Sprint Android phones with a physical keyboard are made by Samsung (Moment, that other thing, and Epic) and all the touch screen Android phones on Sprint are made by HTC (Hero and Evo).

Interesting point... maybe after their experience with the TP1 (and having to upgrade all those ppl to TP2), Sprint didn't want any more HTC keyboard devices? LOL Those were, of course, WM devices, and I don't know what WP7 phones Sprint has coming down the pike but it is interesting that all the recent keyboard phones to come to Sprint have been Samsung...

Can you even name 1 HTC android phone with a keyboard for any carrier? ever since iphone came out, HTC has been focusing on touchscreen phones rather then keyboard phones...only reason they probably released TP2 is just to continue the TP brand...otherwise touchscreen had Diamond, HD, HD2..where is our TP HD?

Only recently is there gonna be a HTC android phone with a keyboard for Verizon.. unfortunately its a 4 row keyboard ..my guess is influence of the Motorola Droid...
