"easy tether" is an app you can buy from the market. same with pdanet which is also a tethering app. they're both wired tether though.

Pdanet also allows bluetooth tethering.

Re: android 2.2!!

Can't get this update to work.

I downloaded the file yesterday and just tried it for the first time this morning.

The problem is the update begins, it verifies the file and then begins to do the update and stops with E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (Status 7)

Before I actually try to apply the update it says E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command but it allows me to try to install the update but of course the error occurs.

I am NOT using the previous OTA update 1.47 but I am using the older OTA update that was released on 6/4 when I got my phone.

Re: android 2.2!!

Yeah I followed the instructions to a T. I even went back and double checked to make sure the filename was correct (as that was the error they were getting) Are you CERTAIN that the update to 1.47 is required to do this update? Why would it? It makes no sense that it would be required since this update is newer and probably contains the same fixes anyway.

It was on the sprint support page that stated to be sure that your phone is updated current 1.47 b4 installing 2.2.it was here http://support.sprint.com/support/ar...SU:grin:P:HDIA that stated it but they removed the 7/30 release date since it didnt come out yesterday

You don't need 4G to WiFi tether. I stream Netflix through the Roku box to my TV all the time on 3G, without a glitch. No way do I want to lose root

Re: android 2.2!!

The Bluetooth implementation is a bit better than nothing, especially if one is accustomed to what can be done with WM 6x. At least it hears the Bluetooth now. Anyway, the update done without incident and on 80% of the battery. Today I found that Checkbook Genius Hyper will not run - developer advised. I was able to move only 4 applications to the card: Barcode Scanner, C:Geo, Reverse Lookup and Shopper.

Faster? Nope. Just a minimal improvement with Bluetooth and that I put plainly at the headset I am using, the Blue Ant T1.
