Re: HTC EVO 4G Android 2.2 Froyo Release 7/30
hmm... I'm rooted.. and since I did it since day 2 of owning my evo.. I honestly can't recall which root i'm using.
honestly.. other than the pdanet I'm using to bypass sprint's money hunger of having to give them an extra 20-30 bucks per month to use the phone as a tether to my PC, I'm not doing much else with it. I think I'm more rooted because I want to be the controller of my device.. yah it's a control thing. not sure what I'm going to do on Friday if and when the 2.2 comes out.. I can tell you not being able to voice dial with my BT is annoying. "sorry your device doesn't support voice dialing through BT" or something similar. enough rambling.. bring on the update and I'll try to exhibit some patience for roots.

Yeah, I'm glad our developers can finally fix the same recurring issues that plague most froyo roms out there

Re: HTC EVO 4G Android 2.2 Froyo Release 7/30
If I'm fully rooted would I have to do anything to do the froyo update or would it just write over everything return it to stock and be possibly root protected?
