Can't sync facebook contacts

ok. so I figured out that stock, and baked snack (both 2.1) wont sync, i flashed back to baked pastries (froyo), the same rom as when i thought it was fixed a couple days ago and facebook sync works again! is anyone else using a froyo rom? both times i flashed a froyo rom, it works flawlessly, any 2.1 rom.... nope!

someone with a froyo rom please chime in, it can't be just me.
or someone using a 2.1 rom, try the baked pastries rom (or any froyo rom) and try it and post your findings?

Theres a letter from HTC on XDA saying its a Facebook server issue. 2.2 roms arent affected nor are many other phones.

Yes I've tried. Half success. Most of the contacts sync'd
