Can't sync facebook contacts

Very annoying indeed, and I don't know about fixed any quicker, but it certainly would have made headlines, lol.

I just submitted this to Engadget, maybe if we get it up on some Tech blogs it will be resolved faster.

hey guys/gals. i believe that facebook sync is working. just flashed baked pastries and got my screens all set up and went to all people, online directories(globe), facebook, and it showed friends and then i refreshed and it didnt kick me out saying connection problem. i am able to see facebook albums and such now!!!!

It still shows 0 friends and connection error for me and several other people I know, so doesn't appear to be fixed.

every once and a while i get a connection error, but its 1 out of 20 or so. i just keep playing with it to make sure. im thinking its not fully up yet because im missing about 10 people

EDIT
flashed back to a 2.1 rom and now getting connection errors again! (was having issues getting multi touch keyboard to work)
can someone who is using a froyo rom check and see if it was a fluke?

Nop stil 0 contacts on mine, even removing acc, clear cache n data, reboot and set up again cero contacts
