2.2 ROMs will work as long as they dont have Sense (and Ava's ROM over @ XDA is the only one with Sense on 2.2).

Strange...it's back to asking for my FB password every two hours. But I still have all of my FB contacts synced.

Maybe it worked just long enough for me to sync once, then stopped working again?

And I'm using DC 3.2.3, a 2.1 ROM. I also wiped the Dalvik cache before flashing the kernel - not saying that had anything to do with it but you know with phones, everything you do can affect everything else in strange ways.

well i running stock and its still saying connection error

running custom evo_ology rom by puertoblack2003 and with the xda fix of adding the city to your job i could get logged in but nothing is syncing contact wise or anything....

running stock brand new phone - i just bought it today, didn't sync at 5pm but i just refreshed and it worked!!!

I am running stock and not rooted and just looked and mine is working again. An hour ago it was still giving me connection error. Didn't do or change anything, just had the phone charging while I sit here and work.
