Re: Bad Echoes when on headset
Update your PRL on both phones. If you talk to her without the bluetooths does it echo? If it does, your bluetooths are having issues...if it doesn't it is either network issues or something on one of the two phones. You might have to take your phone into a Sprint Retail Repair Center and have them look at both the Evo and the Pre with the bluetooths...they may be able to fix it. As long as you have TEP on both lines they will look at it.

Re: Bad Echoes when on headset
Updating a PRL (Preferred Roaming List) is going to have zero impact upon a sound quality issue between phones / BT headsets. Also, I can understand the hesitance of Sprint Techs to jump into this with both hands because this largely sounds like a compatibility issue with one or a couple of components (phones, headsets). They possibly can not test every combination of phone and headset with other phone and headset combination. You need to do some basic troubleshooting yourself to narrow down the cause before talking to a tech. With amount of information given, I would give you a bunch of different answers too. Do you have any more information regarding the frequency the issue and more particulars of the problem?
Does the echo on the Pre happen indoors & out? Does it happen with just one BT headset or all BT headsets? Is she always in the same room when it happens? In the car? Did you swap BT headsets to see if the problem follows? Try different BT headsets? Do any of these BT headsets have noise cancellation? I've had echo issues with some BT headphones indoors that went away outdoors. The potential causes are many and the details provided are few. What have you tried so far? Re: Bad Echoes when on headset
The problem happens ANY time I talk to my wife and she is on her Pre. IT has even happened a few times when I call her at work on her land Line. The other day I called Sprint and the tech heard a bad echo when I was talking to him. At first I was on my Q1, then turned it off and used my H12. Still had the problem, they have tested both phones and my headsets and can not firuge it out. One person said I have to by a special stereo bluetooth headset for my Evo to work.....lol. The messed up thing is all the equipment came from Sprint, the same store. My Evo, the Pre, my H12 and my Q1.

Re: Bad Echoes when on headset
Like all of you, because of not getting any answers from the tech support people, I have been playing with my Q1 trying to figure out what is causing the echo. I might have figured it out. I noticed that if I changed the rubber insert the amount of echo would change as well. With that, I took a rubber off of my skull candy earbuds and put it on the Q1. Well, the echo stopped. What the cause seems to be is, the mic is so sensitive on the Q1 it is picking up the sound bleeding from the ear and replaying it to the caller on the other end of the call. I hope this helps everyone.
