Re: Cyanogen Roms = Froyo -Mostly Everything Working!!!
The nightly build is a test rom. Then either a stable rom will come out or slightly better test rom will come out. Either way from what I have gathered so far the test rom seems to be hit or miss some are finding it works great and others are having minor issues. It is a test rom if you dl it install it and have issues I dont think you are supposed to report back. I think he has his own crew doing all this. So if you dl it and install it keep the crying to your self if something goes wrong basicly.

Yah from what i believe, the nightly build is before the beta, basically just a working rom, then he finds the little problems and fixes them which then turns into the actual beta. If their are more problems, then he fixes them, then tweaks the rom to his likings, making it the fastest most stable rom their is. If you have rom manager then go ahead and run with it. I installed it and have absolutely no problems (knock on wood). If you have the knowledge to install a custom rom, then you shouldnt have any problems. Im running it and love it. |

Re: Cyanogen Roms = Froyo -Mostly Everything Working!!!
I flashed it this morning so I could play with it today while at work. I love the crap out of it, but I did notice a few things.
1.) Batter life isn't all that great. Flashed around 7:30am with 100% battery, and it was down to 15% by 3:00pm. 2.) Camera focusing could be better. Not sure, but it seems like it's metering the whole screen, which makes it difficult to focus on smaller objects up close. 3.) The stock keyboard seems a lot harder to type on. Whether it's less accurate, or the buttons are just a tad smaller, seems like I miss spell words much more often. 4.) No facebook contact syncing. 5.) Like everyone says, 4G still doesn't work yet. But I'm not knocking or anything, just posting my observations. His rom is extremely polished, and very fast. It'll make flashing back to 2.1 difficult. I honestly wouldn't be going back if it weren't mainly because of the battery life right now. I'm able to pull down 20+hrs of moderate use with my stock rooted 1.47. That, and I sorely miss the facebook contact integration. And I'll have to find me a better keyboard (I was just never all that fond of typing with swype style inputs). |

Where'd you find the option to enable it? I even tried adding FB to the sync settings, but it wouldn't stick.

Re: Cyanogen Roms = Froyo -Mostly Everything Working!!!
A few weeks ago I found a post on using hi-def photos for your contacts which involved removing the photos from your google contacts and then setting up a duplicate "Phone" contact and linking the two....on Froyo I don't see a "People" application, does anyone have the apk for that?
