Not sure, but why not just full root the right way? If you look at the stickies there is a detailed thread. The entire process is ridiculously easy. I'm going to have to do it all over again when my evo get's replaced, and I'm an advocate of it.

in the instructions, has there been a new wimax and cell radio update since a week or two ago when the newest ones were released or do you still need to update like he says in the instructions

Many are having problems as well if you read XDA so some it is hit and miss.But there is a lot left out of it yet that has to be added.I will let you guys test and when all the bugs and bricked phones are out of the way ill flash the final rom when it is out very soon.
