Re: If you suffer from dropped calls...
There are certain system processes that you need to put on your ignore list.
After a reboot, I would open up ATK and see what's running. Add everything to the ignore list except any apps that run at startup that you don't need. Anything with HTC in the name should be ignored. After that, make a phone call and hit Home, then go into ATK and see if there's another process that starts while you're on a call...if there is, then ignore that too. I have ATK on my wife's Evo and have it set to AutoKill every 30 minutes and she hasn't dropped any calls...but I'm not sure if she's had a 30+ min phone call either.

Re: If you suffer from dropped calls...
Seriously how about just deleting ATK. Its junk. I went two days last week because I forgot to charge my phone. It didnt die, granted I was lightly using it anyway those two days. But I rarly ever day and I get some seriously heavy usage some days. If and when I die I am already at home and I just got really heavy usage from the phone.
ATK is a joke, this isnt windows mobile people. Learn how to use Android and you will see how ATK is not only not neccasary but useless. |

Re: If you suffer from dropped calls...
I don't necessarily use the auto-kill feature very much, but sometimes I do need to manually kill apps that are programmed badly. I think its been fixed, but the PriceGrabber app that just came out, it would keep GPS on even after closing the app...the only way to turn it off was to kill it using a task manager. There are some apps I just don't like running in the background.
I also haven't noticed a big difference in battery life either way, unless I have a rogue app stuck in the background. |
