From a dvd you would still have to rip it and convert it but using rock player you can convert the video to something else other than mp4.

Re: How to put a DVD on EVO

I put rockplayer on my sd card which is where I launch it. My movies are also on my sd card (I created a file for them) and rockplayer pulls it up. This has been the only way I have been able to get them to work because my videos do not even show up in my videos area.

Im not feeling Handbreak it taken 4 hours to just scan The Legends of the fall.

Wait a minute are you trying to convert a dvd? Are you using any other software with it?
