Re: Small Crack Near Power Button (Betcha if you check you'll have one) *With Pic*
Its problably from constantly turning on and off your phone during flashing and rooting, so by doing that might have cause that crack by the power button.

.....I meant buying parts for the EVO, not going to a Sprint store for a device replacement.

Ah, go ya. Unfortunately I haven't found any replacement parts or any sites offering repairs yet. I would be interested as well, to get some spares and paint them, especially battery covers.

Mine is cracked!!! D*MN you!! LOL!!!!!...I't s a little hairline crack! I've had mine a gel covering since day 1, and have never dropped this phone. No doubt, it came from Sprint that way! It's so small, I had to run my fingernail across it to feel it. Now, if I look hard enough, I can see it!!

My dog chewed on my evo for a bit while I was sleep and I had no crack. Invisible shield and rubber case saved my arse...

can the "dummy" phones be used for replacement parts, like the battery cover?

I tried this with other phones, and the dummy phones parts (Mogul 6800, Vogue 6900) were not usable on the real phone, except for the Apache 6700.
