Wow I thought mine was because my friend scratched my phone really bad when I let him check it out. Didn't think it was a crack. I was pissed at him too thinking "this is what I get when I let Tim check out my stuff".

002 build. No crack... Dropped it once when I fell asleep on my bed...
I do not use a case... only a screen protector...

not to hijack the thread, but I got my EVO Thursday, dropped it on concrete Saturday and got the inner frame scratched in a couple of places.....the battery cover is fine, just the piece between that and the front piece.........any ideas on getting that replaced?

I'm on hardware version 003..................I have a crack......but it's between my asscheeks where it belongs!

Yeap, I have that same "feature" on my phone.. ver. 0002, Tarzan'd(tm) (knocked off the table and swung while connected to the usb cable, but caught before hitting the floor [I think I just invented this term]) enough to scrape the edges and battery cover a bit..
