Trying one last time...I ran scandisk on the sd card and it found no problems...I reformatted it using an SD adapter rather than using the phone via windows (again...used the long method)...part 2 just succeeded...lets see what happens

So here's something I REALLLLLLY don't get...it didn't work...but the phone just let me flash in the rooted shipping rom...I am BEYOND confused now...I have root through ADB Shell...

I get the same errors trying to do anything regarding the hboot or recovery...so...now I'm more confused and more upset.
BUT it just let me flash a stock sprint RUU, not rooted or anything for the .6 version of software that bestbuy made us update to on release day...it takes away root...but I'm trying to get my phone back to what a regular evo is suppossed to be.

I would say that I now have the worlds most confused evo...it's not rooted, it's running a sprint rom, and it will not even consider flashing the first zip file in the first part of rooting using toasts method...it see's it, scans it, then doesn't ask me to update.
So now...I have hboot 0.79.0000 Baseband version 1.39.00.05.31 Kernel version 2.6.29-a2443432 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 Build number 1.32.651.6 CL171253 release-keys Software number 1.32.651.6 I'm not root...and I can't do anything to gain root...to be honest...I'm thinking about just letting it do the OTA update again...the phone was running so dam well, battery life was awesome too...I just want to be able to wireless tether...which I could do with this build and unrevoked...but the phone didn't run NEARLY as nice with this build...and thats more important than tethering... grrrr
