I did the OTA in the first round, before Sprint/HTC pulled the update. Phone works great. Any widgets that I had on the home screens had to be removed, and readded, but that was the only downside for me. I'm stock, unrooted, so I wasn't worried about being able to keep root.

i dd the update on the 28th.. and have ignored the update prompt today and yesterday. am i supposed to do this update? has anyone else used it after havng already updated on the 28th?

You've already done the update. I would ignore the update. Or, just take it to the sprint store, and have them do it. That way, if the update bricks the phone, it was sprint's fault, and they will give you a new one.

Also, check your phone software. Go to home, menu, settings, about phone, software information. The software number should be 1.47.651.1.

Shoot Me, the app to take screen shots used to work before the update. Now it does not and says will only work on rooted phones. Only app I've seen not work.

Hey guys, I was on the phone with Sprint getting a replacement for a 2 hour bricked phone. You could tell it was turning on but the display was black. While they put me on hold just for grins I pulled the battery for the 5th time. I waited 30 seconds and put the battery back in. I held down the power button and the up volume button at the same time. This took me to an Android boot screen. I arrowed down to reboot and pressed the power button and the phone rebooted and works fine.
Go figure.

mine reads 1.32.351.6

Then you should do the update. It sounds like your phone wasn't updated the other day.

Looks like I will have to replace phone after all. Turned it off last night and when I turned it on this morning it would not work unless I went to the Android boot screen.

Can I ask a very dumb question before I apply this, do I have to do a nandbackup? Am I going to lose anything in terms of what I have installed currently?

This is a very paranoid question to be sure, but I'm asking because I'm being very paranoid given the bricked nature of others' phones. However, given unrevoked's track record, I'm more inclined to trust his updates than HTC/Sprint.
